About the Jallab

Jallab is a popular drink in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan, especially during Ramadan.

The alcohol-free family. Alcohol-free mixed drinks are as old as cocktails, from the temperance drinks of the 1800s to the Shirley Temple of the 1930s. The word "mocktail" came into wide use in the 1980s, and today's bars treat alcohol-free drinks with the same care as any cocktail.

Jallab FAQ

What's in a Jallab?

120 ml grape juice, 15 ml rose syrup, 60 ml cold water.

Does a Jallab contain alcohol?

No. It is completely alcohol-free, so it suits drivers, non-drinkers and anyone pacing themselves.

Should I shake or stir a Jallab?

Neither. Build it straight in the glass over ice, then give it one gentle stir.

What glass do you serve a Jallab in?
